Roughly one year from now, Obama’s stranglehold over the Executive office of the U.S. Government will end. Impeaching him now seems to many to be futile. But wouldn’t impeaching a President that has toyed with the Constitution the way a pyromaniac plays with gasoline and matches in the final days of his term with nothing to lose send a clear message to future Presidents? Regarding Executive Orders the Constitution States. in Article 2, Section 3, Clause 5 that the executive, i.e., the President “take care that the Laws be faithfully executed” or face impeachment. Specifically, an executive order must find support in the Constitution. Watering down the 2nd Amendment in order to confiscate the lawful right of a majority of Americans to protect themselves can hardly mean the laws are being “faithfully executed”. - Watch now
